About the Invited Speaker

Lisa Deutsch is an environmental social scientist, who currently works for the city of Zurich as a project leader in the department of health and the environment. She earned her PhD from Eawag and ETH Zurich with the thesis “Practicing integration in inter- and transdisciplinary research: The role of enabling conditions and integrative leadership”. Having experienced the challenges of inter- and transdisciplinary (ITD) research herself, she became interested in how ITD research can be enabled for developing solutions for pressing social-environmental challenges, and how action-oriented knowledge can be created for doing so.
