2 Open Positions for Senior Technician in Ecology or Conservation Biology – AgroEcolines Project
Two open calls for Senior Technician positions in the areas of Ecology or Conservation Biology are now open under the project AgroEcolines – Valorização de habitats marginais lineares em agroecossistemas Mediterrânicos [Enhancing Linear Marginal Habitats in Mediterranean Agroecosystems] supported by the Promove programme of the “la Caixa” Foundation, in collaboration with BPI and the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
Senior Technician – “AgroEcolines” Project (Pollinators and Flora)
- Duties: 1) Conduct pollinator sampling (entomological nets, field observations); 2) Carry out floristic surveys and record pollinator–plant interactions; 3) Integrate collected data into ecological databases; 4) Support the sampling of other faunal groups; 5) Collaborate in the analysis of environmental and cartographic data related to the project; 6) Support the preparation of reports; 7) Participate in science communication and outreach activities.

Senior Technician – “AgroEcolines” Project (Vertebrates)
- Duties: 1) Conduct non-invasive sampling of small mammals (hair traps); 2) Install, program, and maintain Audiomoth devices; 3)Enter, process, and manage bioacoustic and GIS databases; 4) Identify bat and bird vocalisations using open-source algorithms; 5) Support other field and office tasks related to the study of terrestrial fauna in linear marginal habitats; 6) Collaborate in the analysis of environmental data associated with the project; 7)Support report preparation and participate in science communication and outreach activities.
