IV Seminar on Territory-Based Food Strategies

On 29 October 2026, the IV Seminar on Territory-Based Food Strategies will take place, focusing on the theme “The role of women in the transition to sustainable food systems”.

The seminar will be held in Room 131 at Colégio Espírito Santo, University of Évora, as an in-person event, with an online livestream.

This edition marks the International Year of Women Farmers and is organised by the Management of the PhD Programme in Agribusiness and Sustainability, the Sustainable Cities Food Association and APDEA, with the support of the research centres behind the programme: MED&CHANGE, CEFAGE and CETRAD.

The seminar aims to bring together researchers, students, producers and representatives of organisations and institutions to discuss women’s contribution to the sustainability of food systems, the utilisation of local resources and the development of rural communities. It also seeks to deepen the dialogue between Brazilian and Portuguese experiences and to promote the sharing of knowledge on the leading role played by women in building more sustainable and inclusive food systems.

Registration is open until 26 October via the link or the QR code on the poster.
