On 13 October at 14h00, the webinar “Pinus pinea: the pine that produces nuts rather than timber” will take place, led by Ana Cristina Gonçalves (MED – University of Évora).
This webinar is part of the IUFRO – Interconnecting Forests, Science and People network, of which MED is a member, and will introduce participants to the ecological and cultural characteristics of the stone pine, the silvicultural practices associated with the species, and the main goods and services provided by these systems, ranging from pine nut production to soil and habitat conservation, carbon sequestration and the promotion of biodiversity.
