Degree in Forestry and Natural Resources Engineering (by Lisbon University), master in Biodiversity and Plant Biotechnology (by Coimbra University) and master in Organic Agricultura (by Coimbra Polytechnic Institute). At present, I am pursuing my doctorate (by Évora University), focusing on best management practices for the Montado silvopastoral system. My professional career has primarily taken place in private companies, encompassing the forestry, agricultural, plant biotechnology, and livestock sectors. I was also involved in a research project involving species conservation from Serra da Estrela Nature Park, where I was responsible for initiating the activity of a seed bank and where I carried out the in vitro multiplication of several species of conservation interest. My main interest at present is the development of agroforestry, forestry, and agricultural production systems that prioritize a high degree of environmental sustainability, far exceeding current standards, and implementing management practices of great importance for the coming decades.
