About
Ana Caroline Royer is an Environmental Engineer and holds a PhD in Agricultural and Forestry Research, with specialization in Soil Science. Her research focuses on the development and assessment of Nature-based Solutions to improve soil health, promote the circular economy, and enhance the resilience of agricultural and forest ecosystems. She has participated in projects aimed at restoring areas affected by wildfires and in initiatives supporting the transition towards more sustainable agricultural systems. She is a member of the Portuguese Society of Soil Science. She is currently involved in the SOLO – Soil for Europe project, within the framework of the Think Tank on Erosion Prevention.
