About
Daniel Salvaterra holds a Master’s degree in Functional Biology and Biotechnology of Plants (University of Porto) and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology (University of Coimbra). With a background in seaweed, microalgae, and cyanobacteria research, he has worked in both academic and industrial settings, specializing in culture optimization and bioremediation studies.
In 2025, Daniel joined CEBAL as part of the EssenceProRumen project, shifting his research focus to ruminant nutrition and methane mitigation strategies.
