About

I am Ahmad Zia Khan, an Erasmus+ Scholarship holder under the SEA-EU Alliance and a joint PhD candidate at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT), University of Algarve, and the Institute of Research and Advanced Training (IIFA), University of Évora, Portugal. My PhD course is Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (Horticulture) in 2019 and my Master’s degree in Agriculture (Horticulture) in 2021 from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan. Additionally, I have served as a visiting researcher at the Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) Adelaide, Australia, under the European Funded Project vWISE (Vine and Wine Innovation through Scientific Exchange). With a strong foundation in horticulture and agronomy, my expertise focuses on crop yield and quality, abiotic stress management, and crop uniformity. I am passionate about developing sustainable agricultural solutions and advancing global agricultural practices to meet the challenges of climate change and food security.
