He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Universidade Lusófona, a Master’s in Management with a specialization in Marketing from the University of Évora, and a PhD in Agribusiness and Sustainability from the Universities of Évora and Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD). He also completed a postgraduate Executive Master’s in Program and Project Management at ISCTE Executive Education. He was a collaborating member of CEFAGE-UE and CETRAD-UTAD until February 2023, and has since joined MED & Change.

He is responsible for agricultural entrepreneurship projects in São Tomé and Príncipe and is a member of research and development teams for initiatives such as the Alentejo Olive Oil Sustainability Plan (PSAA), Gi Smart (Geographical Indications’ contribution to smart territorial development and sustainability), CULTIVAR –  Promoting sustainable development in tropical islands: Capacity building for the valorisation of intangible cultural heritage, traditional know-how and local production  and Sumo (Montado Sustainability). On an honorary basis, he served as a Guest Assistant Professor in the Management Department of the School of Social Sciences at the University of Évora during the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 academic years.

As part of his doctoral studies, he conducted research in agribusiness and sustainability, focusing on the valorization of organic cocoa production in São Tomé and Príncipe, as well as the governance and performance of its value chain. He has published book chapters and articles in prominent scientific journals and has presented oral communications at numerous international and national scientific events. He currently serves on the supervisory team for a Master’s dissertation in Applied Economics and Management (specializing in Business Economics and Management) and two Master’s dissertations in Agronomic Engineering.
