Degree in Applied Animal Biology (1998) from the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon, and MSc in Nature Management and Conservation (2004) from the University of Algarve. PhD candidate in Biology at the University of Évora, affiliated with MED and CHANGE. My research focuses on early-warning signals of ecosystem service decline in Mediterranean wetlands, integrating remote sensing, ecological indicators, climate variables and land-use and land-cover change. Previous research experience includes biodiversity conservation planning, aquatic ecosystems and the ecology and conservation of Bonelli’s eagle in Portugal.
