About
I am a PhD candidate in Biotechnological Sciences (FCT-funded), with a Master’s degree in Food Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology and Safety from the University of Algarve, at the School of Engineering.
I have solid experience in the development and optimisation of plant-based products, with particular focus on carob and tomato. Throughout my academic path, I have carried out microbiological and physicochemical analyses, as well as studies on thermal and non-thermal food processing, gaining advanced technical and laboratory skills.
During my time as a research fellow, I further strengthened my scientific writing abilities and data analysis skills, working with specialised software such as SuperPro Designer, among others.
My work has been oriented towards innovation, sustainability, and the valorisation of plant-based raw materials, integrating applied research, scientific rigour, and technological development.
