I started the Veterinary Sciences degree in Universidad de Extremadura, Cáceres, in 2010. During that time, I worked as an intern in several department, assisting the professionals in their daily work and imparting the practical classes as a student instructor in various departments such as Surgery, Infectious pathology and histology and pathological anatomy department. During this time I also assisted several courses and training activities, and went for a veterinary stay in a center of Wildlife recovery. After obtaining the Veterinary Sciences degree, I started mi PhD in CICYTEX (Centro de Investigaciones Científicas y Tecnológicas de Extremadura) in the Animal production and genetics department in 2016. I was hired there with a PCI-Scientific contract in 2017 until January of 2018, and later that year I was hired with another PCI-Scientific contract in the Physiology department, Veterinary Sciences Faculty of Cáceres. I was selected for receiving a scholarship for doing the PhD by the Valhondo Calaff Foundation and I started the contract with them in January 2019, leaving my previous PCI contract for it. During that scholarship, I was selected for receiving another scholarship, this time from the Junta de Extremadura. I resigned the actual contract to start the new one in August 2019. During the time of the contract, I participated in several national and international congresses, published papers, and did some stays in the research center INIA of Madrid and in the Universidade de Évora. I finished my PhD with international mention in Public and Animal Health the 23 of May of 2022, in the Universidad de Extremadura. After this, I started with a scholarship in the Universidade de Évora within the scope of the project ECO-PIG "Development of an innovative fee mixture for outdoor finishing of males from local pig breeds, to benefit meat quality and production system sustainability", POCI-01-0247-FEDER-072226, and then in February of 2023, I changed to another scholarship in the Universidade de Évora in the project "ALVIGEN: Criação de Polo no Alentejo para a Vigilância Genómica de Doenças na Agricultura", with reference PD21-00081, founded by La Caixa. After that, I was hired in the Instituto Politécnico de Portalegre as a Adjunct Professor until these days.
