About
Paulo has a Physics and Chemistry graduation, a master in Physics, and a PhD in Chemistry, Materials and Surface area. In the last years he has consolidated his research in the fields of preparation, characterization, development, and application of porous materials, with the focus on the recovery and valorization of different raw materials and waste, from natural and/or synthetic sources, by its transformation into adsorbents with potential application in the liquid and gas phases, guided by a circular economy perspective. This knowledge and experience provide potential contributions in the areas of water treatment (e.g., drinking and wastewater), space management through the valorization of by-products and waste, of natural and synthetic origin, for use in the preparation of value-added materials (with multiple applications), among others.
