Degree in Animal Science and Technology and MSc in Animal Science Engineering by the University of Évora. PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences by the University of Évora. Assistant Professor at the University of Évora. His research is developed at the interface between animal science and biosystems engineering, with particular focus on farm buildings, environmental control in livestock housing and precision livestock farming. His research also addresses sustainability and circular economy, resource use efficiency, agricultural waste and by-product management and greenhouse gas emissions. His work aims to develop and apply technological and sustainable approaches to improve the efficiency, environmental performance and sustainability of agricultural and livestock production systems.
