Associate Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, with over 20 years of experience in higher education, research and consultancy in environmental engineering. Specialist in water resources management, hydrology and hydraulics, climate change impacts and adaptation, and flood risk assessment and management. Research activities also include environmental sustainability, water efficiency, nature-based solutions and indoor environmental quality. Integrated researcher at MED and member of the CHANGE Associated Laboratory, with experience in national and European research projects, scientific publishing and supervision of MSc dissertations.
