I have a degree in Biology from the Universidade de Évora (2007), a master's degree in Management and Conservation of Natural Resources from the Universidade de Lisboa (2010) and a PhD in Biosciences - Specialization in Ecology from the Universidade de Coimbra (2017). I am currently a senior technician at the Ornithology laboratory at the Universidade de Évora. Most of my research is focused on bird ecology and behaviour in terrestrial environments, particularly on the effects of human activities in their communities. I also contribute to the development of management and habitat conservation plans using birds as bioindicators, as well as to public outreach through knowledge dissemination and citizen science initiatives. One of my main areas of interest is the study of biological invasions.
