About

Recent scientific activity aimed at contributing to a better understanding of the lipid and cholesterol metabolism of swine, namely in the obese Alentejo breed, at the biochemical and molecular level, as well as their impact on the quality of the carcass and meat of this animal species. The knowledge acquired over these years resulted from the intense experimental application of a wide range of laboratory techniques, demanding knowledge of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
