About

Graduated in Chemical Engineering, from the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon. PhD in Agro-industrial Engineering, from the Instituto Superiro de Agronomia of the University of Lisbon, in 2011. Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Beja, since 1986, being Coordinating Professor in the Area of Food Industries, after 2017. Throughout her career as a teacher, she taught several curricular units, in the areas of Chemistry, Biochemistry , Basic Engineering Sciences (Transfer Phenomena), Separation Processes, Food Technology, Valorization of By-products, Milk and Dairy Technology. Her research has been developed within the scope of Membrane Separation Processes, applied to different matrices, but mainly to milk and dairy products and their by-products.
