MED researcher joins new European COST Action dedicated to nematology

The Nematode Excellence in X-Disciplinary Unified Solutions (NEXUS) project has been approved for funding under the COST – European Cooperation in Science and Technology programme (COST Action CA25155).

Cláudia Vicente, a researcher at MED, University of Évora, is part of the proposal as a Secondary Proposer, contributing to the establishment of a European network dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary research in nematology.

In Portugal, COST Action NEXUS is led by Ana Xavier Carvalho, from i3S – Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde, University of Porto, and also includes the participation of Sofia Costa, from the University of Minho, and André Maia, from i3S/University of Porto, also as Secondary Proposers.

Through a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach, based on scientific integration, training and mobility activities, the COST Action NEXUS aims to accelerate the dissemination and adoption of advanced technologies, promoting the development of innovative solutions to challenges in the fields of health, agriculture and environmental sustainability.

The ultimate aim of this COST Action is to strengthen the excellence and integration of nematology research in Europe, contributing to the consolidation of a more collaborative scientific community with greater impact and capable of responding to global challenges.
